Tampa has been lacking a good website to provide resources to the locals in the area. Many sites either consist of out of date material, unorganized information, too much general information but lacks details, and very little user interaction with the websites. 813area.com is working on changing that and providing the locals of Tampa a website in which they can search for Bars and Clubs, browse the listings of Tampa's great restaurants, new recreation ideas, and communities to get involved with.

Not only is 813area.com for our local residents of Tampa but it also exists to help promote Tampa as a great place to live and visit. It is important for the city of Tampa to continue to grow and prosper and one way it will do that is from continued growth in tourism. Help promote and be proud of where you live!

One feature already implemented in the website is a photo gallery consiting of photos taken at various places throughout Tampa. Included in this gallery is a tool to copy and paste html code to post the images on website communities such as Myspace.com and Friendster.com. The gallery if free to use and the users are aloud to download the photos as well but in order to access the gallery you must be a register 813area.com user.

We are working on adding additional information on businesses and also creating profile pages for local Bands and DJs. We are open to suggestions and community input as this website is being created for the Tampa community. We plan to keep a easy to navigate site with, well organized, and with useful tools.
